FAQ

  • How much do people typically spend on furniture, art and accessories for a room?
You set the budget you want to spend on products. We assist with each space down to the tiniest details - even if it means some items may need to land on your wish list for later. We always attempt to get all of your essential pieces like seating, rugs, and a few design accents into whatever budget you set.
  • What if an item is no longer available when I'm ready to buy it?
We suggest that you try to purchase the items you like as soon as possible. Retailers tend to cycle products seasonally, so many of the accessories might not be available as the seasons change. Our team is happy to provide some alternative options within 30 days of your design presentation if an item goes out of stock.
  • How long does a Design & Color Scheme service take?
From the time of the initial consultation, we generally estimate it will take as little as two weeks for the design plan.
  • What if I need additional help with some other odds and ends?
Our network of designers are happy to perform additional services outside of the project scope at an hourly rate if you need them. Let us know what you have in mind and we can discuss your options.
  • When should we enlist your services?
The earlier the better! We love to help create the initial vision for the space, and the more time we have to get your project scheduled, the better.
  • Can you refer us to a good Contractor? Architect? Painter? Etc.?
Absolutely! We have long standing relationships with the professionals who we trust. We've got high standards when it comes to keeping our clients happy, so we only work with the best.
  • How much does hiring us cost?
There are a number of factors that impact the cost of our services including the size, complexity, and pace of your project. We have a detailed project process and timeline that help our projects run smoothly and efficiently. When the project is well planned and runs on schedule, cost goes down substantially.
  • Why is another provider charging less for their services?
Our team and network has the experience and education to help you avoid expensive mistakes and oversights during your project. All of our partners have accredited degrees, knowledge of health, safety, and accessibility codes, and posses the ability to give our clients all the tools they need to visualize their space before it is built. Though it may take more time, we feel projects are most successful when the client is involved in the collaboration from the start so that the end result is something you are truly thrilled with. We avoid all kinds of bad business practices that some providers have traditionally utilized: hidden mark-ups, contractor and vendor referral kick-backs, low time investment on your project, unexpected additional extra fees and costs. Transparency is among our core values; you'll see it in our process, our pricing, and our daily interactions.
  • Why should I hire you?
Each party has interests at stake in the project, and you need someone who knows construction, building materials, and the finishing elements there to advocate on your behalf. Clients can be quite vulnerable when it comes to the issues that may arise during a project, and we can be there to make sure that you aren't being taken advantage of. We work for our clients' well-being and we enjoy helping our clients drive their projects forward to success.
  • Will you work with my existing contractor?
Absolutely! We're always looking to build our professional network.
  • What's the first step?
We always start with an initial consultation where we meet you on-site (if possible) and learn everything we can about your project. After that, we'll provide a detailed estimate that shows a low and high range of about how much you can expect to pay for our services.
  • How long does the remodeling / finishing process take?
The timeline of our remodeling and finishing process varies depending on the scope and size of your project. Following your initial consultation, we will provide a proposal outlining the projected scope of work and a rough estimate of the timeline. Product lead times vary, but generally you can expect furniture to be about 8 to 12 weeks (for orders). Quick -ship items can be procured in 2 to 6 weeks, but options are very limited - you may find what is available in that time frame looks like what everyone else already have.
